Our culture is shaped by the stories we tell. Which narratives shape our culture’s understanding of generosity, scarcity, and abundance. How might we shift those stories and thus our relationship with generosity? And how might that change how we live in the world? Order of Service
Our guest speaker is Justin Summers, a VT grad and Blacksburg resident who works as an Environmental Scientist for the Army Corps of Engineers. More to the point, he is a long-time volunteer with the Blacksburg Refugee Partnership and chairman of the newly-founded Sequoia Housing Partnership, a non-profit seeking to “provide an avenue to home ownership for displaced families in the Blacksburg Area.” He’s also completed coursework at John Leland Center for Theological Studies.
