The Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations (UUA) , represents the interests of more than one thousand Unitarian Universalist congregations, bringing the voice of Unitarian Universalist values to the world. With staff located in Boston, and in districts across the country, the UUA is dedicated to helping member congregations grow and thrive. Consulting and advisory services are provided for long-range planning and organizational development, leadership transitions, religious education, and fundraising. The UUA also keeps the national media informed about UU values and activities, and provides resources on advocacy, organizing, and public policy issues, helping congregations take action on their values. | |
One of the 19 districts in the UUA, the Southeast District collaborates with congregational leaders to strengthen congregations and expand the presence of Unitarian Universalism in the five-state region of North and South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia. More than 10,000 adults and 3,000 children and youth Unitarian Universalists are represented in sixty-two member congregations in this region. | |
Southeast Unitarian Univeralist Summer Institute (SUUSI) is an intentional community of approximately 1,000 people who gather in July to explore our interconnectedness, learn new ways of seeing our world and each other, delight in the joys of meeting old friends and making new ones, share outdoor adventures, dance, and sing. The mission of SUUSI is to provide a one week experience evoking the best within us, in concert with Unitarian Universalist principles. SUUSI offers the opportunity to share an intergenerational environment of love, personal freedom, ethics, and joy in an intentional, nonjudgmental community. | |
The Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) is a nonsectarian organization that advances human rights and social justice in the United States and around the world. One of the UUSC projects in which the UUC participates every year is Guest at Your Table, an annual tradition in which congregation members take home a box featuring people that UUSC has worked with recently. These people are oour ‘guests,' and we are asked to share our blessings with them each meal by putting our spare change in the box. | |
