Donating 1/2 the Sunday Collection Plate

Beginning in April of 2015, UUC joined many other UU congregations across the country in giving ½ the basket offering away every single Sunday morning. Half the plate away is an opportunity to practice generosity as a community on a consistent basis. It’s a spiritual practice in generosity, an opportunity to “live our values” and “walk our talk” as a congregation exploring what it means to live generous lives of care, and hope! Doing this together each Sunday is one powerful, visible, and important way we can make a difference in local, national and international communities. Pennies, nickels, dimes and dollars can add up to do a lot of good when we each give a bit… and do this together every Sunday! Recipients for each month of 2016 and amount donated are listed below. To see the list of 2017 organizations and amount donated each week, go to http://www.uucnrv.org/fourth-sunday.html.
