Join the UUC Choir!

The choir is looking for new members as well as welcoming members back from last year. If you like to sing and laugh, come join our choir.

Our choir will be starting rehearsals on Wednesday, August 18. Rehearsals are every Wednesday evening thereafter from 7:30-9:00 PM. The choir will be singing at services, generally on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month. The choir’s first service participation will be on August 29 for the Water Ceremony.

WomenSpirit Ritual

A ritual of the WomenSpirit Group will be held at the UUC on Sunday, August 22 at 4:00 PM. All women are invited to attend this fun-loving and welcoming group. Anyone with questions or a need for childcare should contact Diana Zaldivar. Participants are asked to bring any musical instruments they have and something yummy to eat or drink. We will be celebrating the beginning of harvest and the upcoming full moon. Blessed be!!!!

Circle Suppers

he Fall series of Circle Suppers will be held September 25-26 and October 23-24. Sign-up is open now through August 28.

What is a Circle Supper? Circle Suppers are rotating potluck dinners held at members' homes. Groups of 6-10 come together once a month for two or three months to enjoy a meal together, to share community, and to get to know more members of our Congregation. The groups are assigned more or less randomly, and everyone is welcome, especially newcomers.

Once groups are formed, each host acts as the primary contact and plans and coordinates the dinner, such as who brings what. If you would like to host, but cannot accommodate a larger group, you are invited to use the facilities at the UUC if they're available. Be sure to contact Lisa Evanylo to reserve Elarth Hall if needed.

Note that most of the groups will be for adults only, but we will create circles for families with children if there's enough interest. Just note your preference on the survey.

COVA Reception for Artists

The Committee on the Visual Arts invites you to meet and greet the artists of our Summer Art Exhibit at a reception on Sunday, August 15 at 12:30 PM. The exhibit, which can be seen throughout our building, features both 2D and 3D art work by our own members and friends. Be sure to check out the exhibit and see how much talent there is within the UUC.
